VanOpen
App Concept
VanOpen: Vancouver Pandemic Support App
Targets:
1. Help the City of Vancouver to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic
2. Guide users based on Provincial and Federal restrictions
3. Increase traffic to local business
Solution:

1. The App:

VanOpen is a proposed app developed by myself during my online training at The California Institute of Arts. This app is specifically designed to support Vancouver’s tourism industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. The application will tell users what they need to know while visiting Vancouver. For example, which businesses are closed or offering limited services. Furthermore, the app will let users know current restrictions, which are constantly changing depending on what the Federal and Provincial authorities are implementing.

Target market (users):
-
Local tourists: Canadians or permanent residents from other provinces. Local tourism is expected to increase during the pandemic.
-
International tourists: This includes tourists, workers, and students from other countries allowed to enter Canada.
